In 1964, Bouvé-Boston School became Boston-Bouvé College at Northeastern University and was incorporated into the University as one of the Basic Colleges. Entering freshmen elected Bouvé as their college and proceeded at once into their chosen field of study, following the precepts laid down decades before.

Things changed, certainly. Bouvé was now coeducational, and operated on the five-year cooperative education plan used by all other Northeastern colleges. There were also new facilities, including a spacious outdoor center for a new Recreation Education program.

In 1980 BBC merged with NU's College of Education to form the Boston-Bouvé College of Human Development Professions. In 1992 the school merged with the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions and continues at NU as the Bouvé College of Health Sciences. The vision of Bouvé's founders has moved into the next century.
