Bouvé students were proud of their school, and their place in it. Naturally enough, their dedication to the School led to a desire to participate in its running. Student government began 1919 at the Boston School of Physical Education, and the girls applied the same dedication and intensity to self-government as they did to their studies. Students administered the honor code, organized and planned many of the school functions, actively worked to promote school community, and functioned as a bridge between their classmates and the administration.
