Songbooks
were distributed at the beginning of the school year. Each new class was
expected to learn the songs in the book, and perhaps to make up new ones.
"Physios" learned their songs while the physical education students
learned their own, and all students learned the alma mater and various
ceremonial songs.
Many of
the songs were written by the students themselves, and codified in printed
song books like the example above.
