Because of Bouvé's devotion to school unity and community, the student government and administration made every effort to ensure that new students felt welcome and at home as quickly as possible. With the School's increasingly strong reputation, girls arrived from alcross the country and needed to be introduced to Boston, the School, rules for living, and the program that awaited them.

The orientation week covered all those topics and more. Girls were matched up with Big Sisters, cookies and tonic were available in the dormitory, students and their families were provided with picnic lunches, and many other activities were planned to make the transition to life as a new Bouvé student easy and fun.
