The school year was crowded with special occasions and ceremonies. One alumna's recollection of Bouvé in the 1960's describes her time at school as a whirl of activity from freshmen orientation to graduation, always with a deep sense of school pride and loyalty.

A day at Bouvé was also full, with lectures in the classroom, practices on the field and in the gymnasium, and organizational meetings and competitions after classes were through. In early years, there was a mad rush to change costumes between classes, too.
