| Scope and Content Note: | This collection contains Dunn's lecture notes, problems, exams, quizzes, and student attendance and grade sheets from the physics classes he taught at Northeastern, ca. 1962-1970. These classes included Classical Dynamics, Theoretical Physics, and Theoretical Mechanics. |
| Biographical Note: | Beverly C. Dunn, Jr., a mathematician and high-frequency physicist, was born on November 16, 1917. He received a bachelors degree magna cum laude, a masters degree and a PhD from Harvard. After graduating in 1940, he became an instructor there. He was the Assistant Director of the Naval Electronics Research Laboratory and of the Harvard University Applied Science Laboratories. Dunn became a consultant on mathematical methods of solving scientific problems. He taught courses in Physics in the graduate school at Northeastern, ca. 1962-1970. Dunn died on June 15, 1984. |
