Title:Gay and Lesbian Labor Activists Network records
Call Number:M86

Scope and Content Note

These records document the activities of the Gay and Lesbian Labor Activists Network, such as political and labor advocacy, fund raising, education, and public relations. Well documented events and programs include the fundraiser in support of the United Farm Workers and Fenway Community Health Center, the campaign to defeat the anti-gay referendum in Massachusetts in 1990, the campaign against Governor William Weld, participation in the Stonewall conference in New York in 1994, and the organization's 10th anniversary celebration. The bulk of the materials concern the Gay and Lesbian Labor Activists Network meetings, including flyers, announcements, and minutes. Additional materials include administrative records, correspondence, a few photographs of activities, and subject files. Also documented are meetings to plan a national labor organization. Memorabilia includes a queer labor T-shirt, a cap commemorating a meeting of Pride At Work, and bumper stickers.
