Theater and Dance

The performing arts provide a platform for expression that is particularly vibrant and empowering. Through theater and dance, Boston's African American community has celebrated identity and heritage for decades, most prominently under the auspices of the Elma Lewis School of Fine Arts and the National Center of Afro-American Artists.
