Fifteen Years of Pride flyer (1984)
“…we are impressive in number, rich in our diversity, and proud of who and what we are.”
For Boston’s 15th Pride Parade in 1984, the Boston Lesbian and Gay Pride Committee distributed this flyer to increase representation of “allies” at the march. While noting how the Boston gay and lesbian community had flourished since the Stonewall Riots, the Committee emphasized that the struggles to gain basic civil rights and to end homophobia were far from over.
