Choosing A Database

The library subscribes to article search databases, online encyclopedias, statistical data, and ejournals.

How do you know where to begin?

For general information, start with a general source, such as the Encyclopedia Britannica, Expanded Academic ASAP (articles) or one of the resources on the Reference Shelf.

For specialized information, begin with the Subject Guide corresponding to the topic you are interested in. The Subject Guides are developed by librarians who are specialists in the subject and who are familiar with all the resources the library subscribes to.

Subject specialist librarians are also available by email to assist you, or by appointment to assist you one-on-one. View a list of subject specialists.
