Quiet Study Areas

For your convenience, the 3rd and 4th floors and stairwell of Snell Library are designated as QUIET areas for studying.

Respect your peers. Some comments from your peers…

“Some of the “Quiet” floors seem loud to me mainly due to the large and loud groups at the tables.”

“I love the Snell Library but I am so tired of people talking or doing group projects on the third floor… it’s supposed to be quiet and some people just do not respect that.”

“My major frustration is with the high level of noise from cell phone use by other students, it makes the environment not conducive to studying.”

“It is extremely hard to get work done even in a quiet study area when people are studying in groups or on their cellphones."

Always report disturbances to the Circulation Desk Supervisor on the first floor or to a security guard.
